Straight Photographs
On straight photography – I think of my studio practice as a filter, a shelter, not unlike a bunker from the world at large. As a photo-based artist, I constantly make photographs. The straight image is a document, is a visual note, and a way of looking. When I am not constructing a photograph I inhabit the world to re-focus my attention to the subtle and ironic juxta-positions to be found.
